So here’s what I’m thinking. We own a home that doesn’t have a fireplace. But I dearly love to sit by a good fire in the winter. It’s so relaxing and homey, no matter where you are it just brings you to a peaceful place, if only for a moment.
So what are we to do? While it would be better to put an electric fireplace insert into the hole for an existing fireplace, we don’t have that option. If you’re looking for a surprise gift for someone these holidays or you’ve just always wanted one, you should consider the various styles of fireplace inserts. If you don’t have a fireplace opening in your home already, then get a full corner electric fireplace and place it out of the way in the room’s corner, or maybe buy a flush unit and put it against the wall.
